Mathematics
For all students to advance to the next level they must meet the
standards by receiving a “C’’ grade or better in their current
math class. Each student is placed in a classroom based on their own ability
and skills. Accelerated Math is used in many classrooms these days because it
monitors and manages student mastery of objectives. During the students’
years of high school they must have completed 3 years of math (Algebra 1-2,
Geometry 1-2, Intermediate Algebra) but are recommended 4 years.
For those who are English Language Learners, we offer Sheltered
Math classes. They are taught by teachers who are trained to use specific
strategies for English language learners. These classes are available in: Algebra
Exploration, Geometry and Intermediate Algebra.
These are the Math classes available:
- Algebra Exploration1-2 Grade: 9
- Geometry 1-2 Grade: 9,10,11,12
- Honors Geometry 1-2 Grade: 9,10
- Unifying Algebra/Geometry 1-2 Grade: 11,12
- Intermediate Algebra 1-2 Grade:10,11,12
- Honors Intermediate Algebra 1-2 Grade: 10
- Pre Calculus 1-2 Grade:12
- Honors Pre Calculus 1-2 Grade:11
- Discrete Math 1-2 Grade:11,12
- AP Calculus 1-2 Grade:12
- Statistics Grade:12
- AP Statistics Grade:11,12
