Mathematics

For all students to advance to the next level they must meet the standards by receiving a “C’’ grade or better in their current math class. Each student is placed in a classroom based on their own ability and skills. Accelerated Math is used in many classrooms these days because it monitors and manages student mastery of objectives. During the students’ years of high school they must have completed 3 years of math (Algebra 1-2, Geometry 1-2, Intermediate Algebra) but are recommended 4 years.

For those who are English Language Learners, we offer Sheltered Math classes. They are taught by teachers who are trained to use specific strategies for English language learners. These classes are available in: Algebra Exploration, Geometry and Intermediate Algebra.
