Seminar Courses (must be pre-approved)

The Seminar Program includes English courses, grades 9-12, and history courses, grades 9 and 11, for Seminar qualified students. Course work includes group activities, independent study, research projects, socratic dialogues, debates,and more. Admission to the seminar by application. Forms can be obtained from Seminar teachers, the counseling office, or the district G.A.T.E. office. Students who are involved in any seminar courses are expected to work at a rigorous pace in order to obtain the expected knowledge. Seminar courses are challenging and rigorous courses which prepare us for college.
In order for a student to join a seminar course he/she must have earned above average grades on the subject he/she wishes to take. If you wish to have more information regarding seminar and other courses, please contact us at (858) 273-1313.
