Friends of Pacific Beach Secondary Schools (FOPBSS)
FOPBSS Welcomes Mission Bay High School Families to the 2008-09 School Year
Friends of Pacific Beach Secondary Schools (FOPBSS) is a joint Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation for both Pacific Beach Middle School and Mission Bay High School. The FOPBSS Board of Directors consists of teachers, principals and parents from both schools.
FOPBSS goal is to assist the school in the following ways: raise money for projects, programs and teacher grants, coordinate enrichment programs for all students, provide parent volunteers, help facilitate good communications and plan events that encourage families to be connected as a school community.
The FOPBSS/ PTO will communicate with you in a number of ways through the school year: The Cutlass publication, Email communications, MBHS Informational Marquee, MBHS web site, Beach & Bay Press school news, and flyers via your student.
The board invites any parent or guardian of MBHS or PBMS students to attend our Wed. evening monthly meetings at 6 pm. Please come join us and find out first hand from the principal what’s happening at MBHS and how you can get involved.
PTO meetings alternate between PBMS media center and MBHS library. MEETING DATES: Aug 27, place /time TBD, Sept 24, 6pm @PBMS, Oct. 29, 6pm @MBHS, Nov. 19, 6pm @PBMS, No meeting in Dec., Jan. 28, 2009 6pm @MBHS, Feb 25, 6pm @PBMS, March 25, 6pm @MBHS, April 29, 6pm @PBMS, May 27, 6pm@ MBHS.
