Make a Wish Foundation for Teachers

The Friends of Pacific Beach Secondary Schools is the Parent/Teacher Organization at Pacific Beach Middle School and Mission Bay High School. We are known by many names and nicknames: "PTO," "Friends," "FOPBSS," "Mission Bay Community Schools Foundation," "The Foundation" and more. Although we have many names, we have only one goal: to support the students and teachers at PB Middle School and Mission Bay High.

We would like to invite you to come to our meetings and find out about the organization. Meetings are the third Tuesday of each month, at 6:30 pm and the place rotates between PBMS Media Center and Mission Bay High library.

Many people hesitate to come to meetings because: a) they don't know anybody, b) they think they will get pulled into volunteering for something they don't want to do and don't have time for, or c) they are too busy. My answer to 'a' is we are a very friendly and inclusive group and will do our best to make you feel welcome. We really want you there. The answer to 'b' is an easy one: you will never be made to feel guilty that you can't volunteer for something. Just coming to the meetings and getting the information about upcoming events is a contribution to the school. And the answer to 'c' is I understand how busy everyone is so we try to keep the meetings to an hour or an hour and a half at the most. We don't take up your whole evening.

Please come give the meetings a try. We always have reports from the principals about items of interest and news about upcoming events at both schools.
